Migratory Bird Treaty Act (MBTA)

Though the MBTA has been around for 100 years, there is a possible new interpretation of this treaty. Our Conservation Affairs Committee paid close attention to this topic, and contacted national TWS regarding pathways for engagement.

4/9/18 Our Conservation Affairs Committee Chair spoke with TWS National Biologists. At this time we are not likely to get involved in formal court action, when legislation is introduced policy team will evaluate to determine potential for TWS support as it pertains to our Position Statements and related documents.
