The Gourmet Greens and Beasts Feast is a potluck picnic with TWS and California Native Plant Society, please bring a dish to share with attendees. All dishes are welcome – including hors d’oeuvres, soups, salads, entrées, desserts, and drinks – but “Wild Dishes” will be the focus of the event. Attendees are encouraged to bring a potluck “Wild Dish” made from either native (e.g. miner’s lettuce, venison…) or non-native (e.g. wild oats, American bullfrog…) ingredients. All “Wild Dish” ingredients must be grown, hunted, gathered, and/or foraged respectfully, in moderation, and legally in accordance with all local, regional, state, and federal laws.

Event Details:

The Gourmet Greens and Beasts Feast is a family event. Throughout the day we’ll pit wildlife biologists (and their families) against botanists (and their families) in friendly games of mind and muscles.

BATTLES OF WIT: Mind-bending games of cunning and guile – Trivia! Scavenger Hunts! Bio-Blitzes!

FEATS OF STRENGTH: Engage in family-friendly pitched battles of derring-do.
