About the event

Join SF Bay TWS to experience and restore San Bruno Mountain on Saturday, April 6, from 10am to 2pm. We will work together with San Bruno Mountain Watch on a one-hour restoration project and then take a hike up the mountain to learn about its plants, wildlife, and cultural history. Bring your hiking boots, gardening gloves, hats, water, snacks or lunch, and sunscreen and come explore this fascinating peak near the heart of the City. This experience is limited to 25 people, so please sign up today to guarantee your spot. A recommended donation of $15 to San Bruno Mountain Watch will thank them for leading our group and support their important work in this State and County Park.

Directions to the meeting location:

1) From Bayshore Blvd, turn onto Valley Drive, the entrance to Crocker Industrial Park in Brisbane.

2) Drive down Valley Drive and turn left at the stoplight at the intersection of Valley Drive and South Hill Drive

3) Drive a very short distance on South Hill Drive; immediately after a pedestrian crosswalk, as the road begins to curve, you'll see a steep driveway on your left with potholes. Turn into that steep driveway and drive up. (Use "69 South Hill Drive, Brisbane, CA 94005" for navigation systems to reach this driveway)

4) At the top of the driveway, continue straight and drive further down the road for two minutes. The entrance to Owl Canyon is up ahead past the first gate, as shown on this map: https://goo.gl/maps/8mGYsgN5eSL2 There is a skate park/drainage basin at the entrance to the canyon. Park parallel to the drainage ditch along the side of the road.
