About the event
This workshop is aimed towards the serious beginner in Wildlife Photography. Our mission is to teach hobbyists how to capture nature in the field using the skill set of a biologist who understands the subject. We will practice photography of megafauna, macro subjects, and landscapes. You’ll spend time in the classroom, then in small groups with instructors who come with different backgrounds. Even if you don’t end up getting that perfect shot during this workshop (we’ll try!), you should be able to walk away with a good sense of composition, factors to consider for finding and tracking, equipment to use, tricks of the trade, and how to read animal behaviors to prepare for getting great pictures. We’ll also practice some post-processing to finalize your images. Please find more information on the event and register on The Western Section of The Wildlife Society Website: https://www.wildlifeprofessional.org/western/photo2019_reg.php
